Job Functions & Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Machine repair and preventative maintenance on PLC systems, controls, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of industrial machinery, including printing presses, packaging converting equipment, laminating equipment, material handling equipment and slitting equipment, to ensure safe and optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Support production operations by ensuring machinery and equipment are maintained and repaired efficiently.
  • Must be able to work independently and adhere to established safety standards.
  • Interpret work instructions, work orders, read tape measure (standard and metric) and read other operational materials
  • Complete work order entry and close-out in the Maintenance work order system.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and implement maintenance strategies.
  • Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Participate in safety training programs and contribute to a culture of safety within the organization.
  • Identify and report potential safety hazards and take immediate corrective actions when necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting required.
  • Knowledge and experience troubleshooting, programming and evaluating PLC’s and drives is a must.
  • Experience in industrial electrical panels, electrical machinery, and motor controls.
  • Experience with printing presses, packaging converting equipment, and slitting equipment is highly desirable.
  • Read/analyze/interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, and service manuals to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Ability to inspect equipment, recognize potential problems, and proactively take appropriate corrective action to prevent component failures, or equipment downtime.
  • Excellent oral and computer communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with others as well without direct supervision. 
  • Ability to define and solve problems.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including overtime and weekends.

Physical Demands:

  • Lifting of up to 80 lbs.
  • Required to work at heights using ladders or lifts, or in confined spaces for short periods of time during equipment inspections and modifications.
  • Use of hand tools to repair machinery, grasping.

Pay rate range is $28-30 plus 5% shift differential and determined based on experience.
