C-P Flexible Packaging is a successful and fast-growing essential manufacturing company that uses an impressive array of digital pre-press and wide-web flexographic printing capabilities and extrusion and adhesive laminators to produce creative flexible packaging solutions for our customers.

Job Summary:
Manage assigned capital expenditure projects for the company. Provide beginning to end project management on large capital projects and smaller projects as needed. Provide support for corporate EHS policies and provide production support to improve operational and cost efficiencies. Work on and lead various continuous improvement programs and processes for the company.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Engineering
    • Develop, oversee, manage the operational effectiveness of process equipment.
    • Specification and installation of new process equipment.
    • Develop systems to improve production efficiency and capacity.
    • Support plant projects through knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, EPA, HazMat, Facilities Management
    • Work with Local, State, and Federal agencies as needed.
  • Capex
    • Generate, justify, approve, and support engineering capital projects.
    • Work on capital projects.
    • Manage capex process/procedure for individual projects
    • Financial / budget management.
      • Project Costing & Tracking.
      • Timely budget communications with plants and management.
  • Project Management
    • Project: Initiation, Planning, Executing, Monitoring, and Closure
      • Including procurement, risk and quality management
    • Cradle to Grave management of capex projects.
    • Management of simultaneous multi-site projects.
    • Timely stakeholder communications.
    • O/S Contractor vetting and selection, management, cost tracking
    • Construction systems, practices, and methods.
    • Use of Project Management Software (MS Project Pro)
    • Budgeting, purchasing, Contract Negotiations
    • GMP, Safety and EPA
  • Additional Support
    • Provide direct support to resolve immediate production and quality problems.
    • Support/coordinate projects with relevant groups including operations, marketing, security, and EH&S
  • Special projects as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office package software is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail is essential.
  • BS in Engineering (ME, EE, CE, IE).
  • 10+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • 5+ years capital project management of projects.
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple complex projects.
  • Broad industrial facilities experience to include structural, electrical, and mechanical issue resolution.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, EPA, HazMat, Facilities Management.
  • Travel as needed (project meetings, equipment validations, project implementation).
  • Must be highly organized with a strong ability to prioritize projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work well with changing and or competing priorities.
  • Microsoft office suite – (MS Project Pro).

Desired

  • Experience with web handling processes (printing, laminating, coating, slitting, packaging).
  • PMP

  • Must demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality of information to Company and Federal standards.
  • Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and be able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
  • Must be dependable and work within Company conduct standards; consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance.
