Description
The Procurement Specialist supports the Procurement process for multiple CP Flexible sites. Reporting to the VP of Procurement, this position is tasked with maximizing business opportunities across the company’s Supply Chain to provide the required level of service at the lowest cost. The Procurement Specialist interfaces with Sales, Customer Service, Product Development, Suppliers, Operations Management, HR and customers. This position is located at the Aurora facility.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
Service:
- Improve/maintain a consistent supply process which maximizes delivery performance and inventory utilization that support company’s objectives.
- Interface with scheduling and operations to ensure the needed materials are here to support the customer and production.
- Order supplies to meet the needs of the internal customers.
- Attention to detail, accuracy and timely handling of requests are essential to satisfactory completion of duties
Raw Material Planning and Other Procurement:
- Assist with the ordering of supplies as needed in operations.
- Analyze data to understand opportunities to leverage our total spend with both current suppliers and potential suppliers.
- Negotiate spend at the appropriate level with suppliers.
- Assist with supplier performance KPI’s and feedback.
Other Responsibilities:
- Complies with all general Company-wide standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and any job or department specific SOP’s.
- SOP’s may cover the areas of (but are not limited to)
- Employee Health and Safety
- SQF (Safe Quality Food packager) and GMP (good manufacturing procedures) focused on eliminating contaminates in all packaging manufactured.
- SGP (Sustainable Green Printer) environmental regulatory procedures and SOP’s
- Adhere to company policies and procedures; including expectations around code of conduct
- SOP’s may cover the areas of (but are not limited to)
- Must work within productivity standards and completes work in a timely manner.
- Special Projects & other duties as necessary
